So this is not uncommon on crazy Amazon deals. Either this was a mistake (unlikely) or the vendor couldn't come through with some batch order, or the vendor simply ran out of stock.
What WAS uncommon is the amount of personal vitriol I got on Facebook because people found out about it through my post. I won't call those people out, but here are a few things to keep in mind:
- No one lost any money.
- I did not stand to make any money. I am not a registered affiliate, and if you looked at the URL I had linked to, you can see that it had no hooks to make a commission.
- I thought gamers should be the first to take advantage of this deal. It seemed, by the sizes alone, to be aimed towards miniature painters.
This will not deter me from broadcasting other deals I find, but maybe I won't on certain FB groups.
